Singer Ben-Tzur Halts Performance for Family

Singer Ishay Ben-Tzur unexpectedly stopped his performance mid-song during the closing event of "Me'irim B'Slichot" at Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem on Wednesday. Ben-Tzur noticed security guards escorting his family members away from the stage area. He addressed the audience, stating "Family above all," and refused to continue until the situation was resolved. He explained to the musicians, "Stop the performance, sorry. They are sitting here. Stop the performance, from the beginning. Until my family is sitting in front of me, we are not continuing. Family above all. It's hard to concentrate when you see security guards taking your mother out in front of your eyes."

Witnesses reported that a crowd had gathered behind barriers near the stage, and security was removing individuals who had entered the area due to concerns about overcrowding. Ben-Tzur realized his mother was among those being removed, prompting him to halt the show and request she not be escorted out. After the issue was addressed, Ben-Tzur returned to the stage and restarted the song.
