Israel Assures Stable Water Supply Ahead of Rosh Hashanah Holiday

Israel's Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, along with the Water Authority, have issued a reassuring update regarding the nation's water systems ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The authorities confirmed that national water systems are fully stable and supply is continuing as normal for all residents and farmers. Currently, five desalination plants are operational, feeding water into the national grid. The Hadera desalination plant is working at full capacity, while the other four are operating partially. The Water Authority stressed that drinking water is completely safe for consumption and that supply to the public and agricultural sector remains continuous and secure.

In addition to the desalination plants, the water system is increasingly relying on national reservoirs and boreholes. Consequently, the Ministry of Energy is reiterating its call for the public and local authorities to continue practicing responsible water usage, especially during holiday preparations. This includes reducing irrigation for public and private gardens. Teams from the Water Authority, Mekorot (the national water company), and the Ministry of Energy are working around the clock to ensure uninterrupted water supply for all Israeli citizens.
