Suspect Charged with Arson of Half-Million Dollar Concrete Mixer in Beit She'an
Israeli police have charged a young man with intentionally setting fire to a concrete mixer valued at approximately 700,000 shekels (about $190,000 USD). The incident occurred on August 15 in a truck parking lot within the industrial zone of Beit She'an.
Surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect filling fuel containers at a gas station shortly before he allegedly set fire to the mixer. Investigations confirmed the fire was deliberately set.
The suspect was arrested on August 24. He has been detained multiple times since his arrest, and prosecutors intend to seek his continued detention until the legal proceedings against him are concluded.
