As the High Holidays approach, the "Ezra Mitzion" organization is launching an emergency fundraising campaign for cancer patients awaiting bone marrow transplants. According to the rabbis' statement, the rise in severe illnesses necessitates bone marrow donations as the primary means of saving lives. They credit Ezra Mitzion, led by Rabbi Chananel Tzurk, with facilitating nearly 500 matches that have already saved numerous lives. The cost of a single compatibility test is 180 shekels, a sum the rabbis urge the public to cover as a form of atonement and merit before the Day of Judgment.
