Court Orders Release of Tel Al-Sabe Council Director General Under Conditions
The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court on Wednesday rejected a police request and ordered the conditional release of Hassan Abu Rabah, the Director General of the Tel Al-Sabe Local Council. Abu Rabah was arrested along with the council head and other senior officials as part of an investigation by the Lahav 433 unit into allegations of bribery, bid rigging, and fraud. Police had sought to extend his detention for a third time for six days.
The court ruled for Abu Rabah's release under restrictive conditions, including house arrest and a 30-day travel ban and suspension from his job. Abu Rabah's lawyer, Darwish Nashif, stated that his client has denied the accusations since the beginning and views the court's decision as validation of his position.
