Israeli Teen Charged With Assaulting Palestinian Amputee
An indictment has been filed against a 16-year-old Israeli boy from the Avigail settlement in the Hebron Mountains for assaulting a Palestinian man who had a leg amputated. The incident was captured on video.
According to the indictment, the teen, accompanied by another individual, arrived on a stolen tractor without a license near the victim's home. The teen was arrested last month in connection with the incident. Police stated that the investigation revealed the teen threatened the Palestinian man while holding an iron rod, demanding he move aside. He then pushed the victim's crutches with his left foot before physically assaulting him.
The indictment also notes that the teen has two prior criminal records this year for alleged violence and property damage offenses. The victim uses crutches for his left leg.
