A new, non-commercial website has been launched to combat parking price gouging and a lack of transparency in the Gush Dan region of Israel. Developed by data professional Gilad Cohen-Tal, the site aggregates and compares parking garage prices in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Givatayim, aiming to help drivers make informed decisions.

The initiative addresses a significant shortage of clear pricing information, forcing drivers to choose parking without knowing alternative costs. The situation has reportedly worsened since the "Parking Law" took effect last December, mandating per-minute charges. This change has been exploited by many parking operators to dramatically increase prices, according to WIN.FUN.

The platform currently features around 200 major parking facilities in Gush Dan. It offers several tools for drivers, including the ability to input various discount types, such as resident discounts, credit card benefits, or app-based offers, to estimate daily and hourly costs. The site also indicates expected parking occupancy levels and highlights charging stations for electric vehicles.

With data accuracy currently estimated at 90%, the information is sourced from official data and online reports. The website encourages the public to report updated prices directly from the field to maintain accuracy and expand the database. Following a successful launch with high traffic, Cohen-Tal plans to add more parking garages and develop a dedicated mobile application in the future.
