Local Council Honors Volunteers for Year-Round Service
The Kiryat Ekron Local Council held a celebratory appreciation evening this week to honor the town's volunteers. These volunteers dedicate their time throughout the year to various social and community initiatives, serving during both normal times and emergencies. The event was attended by Council Head Ilan Yerimi and was a close collaboration between the local community center and the social services department.
The initiative and event were spearheaded by Zahara Elias, the community affairs coordinator, who maintains ongoing contact with the volunteer network and promotes social projects in the town. Shirley Achituv, director of the community center, and Carmit Galli, director of social services, also participated, contributing to the evening's organization as part of strengthening the community's volunteer infrastructure.
The local council leadership expressed deep gratitude to the numerous volunteers for their dedicated work. They emphasized that the residents' spirit of giving and civic engagement forms the backbone of Kiryat Ekron's community resilience. Looking ahead to the new year, the council extended New Year greetings to the volunteers and their families, wishing them continued shared endeavors and mutual partnership.
