Kiryat Gat Honors Senior Citizens and Volunteers for Community Contributions

The Kiryat Gat municipality held a festive New Year's gathering this week at "Beit Wax" for participants in the "Supportive Community" program. Mayor Kfir Suissa, Municipal Director Albert Saharovich, and Municipal Company Director Amir Ben Shimhon were in attendance.

During the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to senior citizens who volunteer and consistently contribute to the local community. Among those recognized were Esther Sabah, Eti Bango, Eti Cohen, Victoria Moshe, Laura Hantzis, Marcella Arian, Nathan Attia, Amalia Ben David, Pnina Meira, Esther Reichman, Avraham Reichman, Aharon Talcar, Sarah Steinberg, and Erika Shimoni.

Certificates were also presented to the support team members: Kia Yardeni, Ayala Darai, Yelena Cherkeshin, Uzi Cohen, Ariel Greenberg, Itzik Attia, Dodi Licht, and Shlomo Hayon. The "Supportive Community" program, managed by Yael Pikado and operated by "Natali" company, provides senior citizens with a broad community and social framework, including recreational activities, personal contact, and emergency response services.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Welfare, the municipality's Social Services Department led by the Director of the Senior Citizens Unit, Tehila Sabah, and the municipal company. The city administration expressed gratitude to all partners, teams, and volunteers for their dedicated work throughout the year and wished the city's seniors a happy new year, health, and long life.
