Safari Animals Celebrate Rosh Hashanah With Festive Fruits
The Safari Zoological Park is embracing the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, by treating its animal residents to special holiday foods. Keepers provided coatis, lemurs, meerkats, and porcupines with festive fruits, including apples and pomegranates, which sparked curiosity and play among the animals.
The pomegranates, in particular, offered a unique challenge, encouraging the animals to work to extract the seeds. This activity highlighted the animals' natural behaviors, turning mealtime into an engaging experience.
