US Ambassador Mike Huckabee Honored for Support of Israel

The Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem has awarded U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee the "Abraham's Torch" award in recognition of his long-standing support for Israel, his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, and his role during the recent confrontation with Iran. The award was presented by the museum's director, Rabbi Mark Weisberg.

Rabbi Weisberg praised Huckabee for his "extraordinary love for the State of Israel and the Jewish people," noting his consistent recognition of the historical connection between the Jewish people and the land, and his steadfast support. Weisberg specifically highlighted Huckabee's actions during the recent tensions with Iran, emphasizing the cooperation between Washington and Jerusalem during that period and stating that Huckabee "remains a strong and uncompromising voice for Israel and for the alliance between the United States and Israel."

The "Abraham's Torch" award is given by the Museum of Tolerance to individuals who, according to the institution, work to promote tolerance, mutual responsibility, human dignity, and dialogue between communities and nations. This marks the second consecutive year the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has partnered with the Museum of Tolerance for its Independence Day event. This year's event was themed "Freedom 250," celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.
