Pakistan Says Strait of Hormuz Will Reopen Immediately, U.S. Blockade on Iranian Ports to End
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote on X that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen “immediately,” and that the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports will also be lifted. He said the move marks a major breakthrough in efforts involving the United States and Iran.
Sharif also confirmed that the signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between the two countries will take place on Friday in Switzerland. He said the event is meant “to mark this historic event and launch the technical talks.”
