Israeli Sailors Dominate Second Day of Windsurfing World Championships

The second day of the Windsurfing World Championships in Weymouth-Portland, England, concluded with Israeli athletes maintaining a strong presence, particularly in the women's division. Tamar Steinberg continued her dominant performance, holding onto first place overall after securing finishes of 7th, 2nd, 9th, and 1st in Tuesday's races. She had previously led after the first four races.

Other Israeli women also saw significant improvements. Shahar Tobi climbed to sixth place overall with consistent top-10 finishes, including 4th, 1st, 5th, and 9th. Sharon Kantor made a substantial leap from 16th to eighth place, achieving 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, and 33rd in the day's races, placing her among the top ten.

Daniela Peleg, however, struggled to find her form, finishing 31st overall after placing 17th, 19th, 18th, and 37th, remaining in the lower half of the standings. In the men's competition, Yoav Omer maintained his fourth-place position with strong showings of 2nd, 22nd, 2nd, and 33rd. Tom Reuveny significantly improved his standing, moving into fifth place overall with finishes of 1st, 4th, 6th, and 2nd.

Further down the men's rankings, Yoav Cohen improved to 23rd overall after races that saw him finish 3rd, 28th, 10th, and 22nd. Tomer Vardimon dropped from 17th to 27th place, with results of 8th, 19th, 28th, and 26th on Tuesday.
