Firefighters rescued a three-month-old infant on Wednesday evening after she was left alone for an extended time inside a locked car on Mevo Hama Street in Geva Ze'ev. The baby was found inside the vehicle by firefighters from the Binyamin district, who arrived at the scene and saw that the car was sealed shut.
The firefighters immediately broke a window, pulled the infant out, and handed her over for medical treatment. Magen David Adom teams gave her initial care at the scene and evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
According to the report, the infant’s condition was stable, but she showed signs of heatstroke. No further details were given about how long she had been left in the vehicle or the circumstances that led to the incident.
