A three-month-old baby was rescued today, Friday, from a locked car in Givat Ze’ev after spending an extended period inside the vehicle. Firefighters carried out the rescue after the incident was reported to emergency dispatch at 3:40 p.m.
Magen David Adom teams treated the infant at the scene and then evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in stable condition. Paramedics said she showed signs of heatstroke, indicating the baby had been exposed to dangerous heat while trapped in the car.
The report did not say how the infant came to be left in the vehicle or who was responsible. She was transported for further medical care after the rescue and initial treatment.
