PR Executive Challenges Netanyahu Over Hamas Attack Warning Report

A public relations executive, Roni Rahav, has issued a scathing public rebuke of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a dramatic report in the newspaper Haaretz. The report, based on an investigation by journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval, alleges that in late September 2023, just ten days before the Hamas attack, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) spoke with Netanyahu for 45 minutes. During this call, bin Zayed reportedly warned Netanyahu explicitly that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning an "earthquake" and a major operation against Israel. The Haaretz report further claims that Netanyahu did not share this warning with the heads of the security establishment, the IDF, or the Shin Bet.

The Prime Minister's Office has vehemently denied the report, calling it a "complete lie." In response, Roni Rahav posted a strong statement on social media, sharing the newspaper's front page and directly addressing Netanyahu. "Shame on you," Rahav wrote. "I will take back my words if you sue Haaretz for libel, there is no chance, Haaretz does not publish lies. This is Israel's Watergate, and that is why you do not want a state commission of inquiry. Resign now, this very moment, and go home in shame."

Rahav appealed to Likud voters, urging them to believe the report's claims. "Please, for your mothers' sake, every word is true. 1,200 murdered, hundreds fallen, hundreds wounded, and entire families of widows and orphans. There is no forgiveness," he added, referencing the casualties of the October 7th attack.
