Max Heidegger Cleared to Play for Hapoel Tel Aviv After Dispute
Hapoel Tel Aviv has officially signed Max Heidegger for the 2026-27 season, concluding a dispute with his former team, Bnei Herzliya. A preliminary hearing was held regarding a restraining order filed by Herzliya to prevent Heidegger's registration with Hapoel until arbitration concluded.
The arbitrator informed Herzliya that since Heidegger does not wish to return to the team, there was no reason to issue the restraining order. Herzliya agreed to withdraw its request and proceed with the arbitration process, which has not yet begun.
Heidegger is now registered with Hapoel Tel Aviv and is eligible to play. The upcoming arbitration will determine if Herzliya's contract was breached and if they are owed financial compensation. A decision is expected within 10 days.
