Max Heidegger Cleared to Play for Hapoel Tel Aviv Amid Transfer Dispute
Max Heidegger is now eligible to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv after a court order preventing his registration was lifted. The dispute arose when his former team, Bnei Herzliya, filed an injunction to block his move to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he was officially signed for the 2026-27 season. Herzliya sought to prevent Heidegger from being registered until an arbitration process concluded.
During a preliminary hearing, the arbitrator questioned the necessity of the injunction, noting Heidegger's expressed desire not to return to Herzliya. The arbitrator urged Herzliya to withdraw its request, which the club agreed to do. Herzliya will now proceed with the arbitration case, which has not yet begun.
The arbitration will focus on whether Heidegger breached his contract and what financial compensation, if any, Herzliya is owed. A decision in this matter is expected within ten days. In the meantime, Heidegger is officially registered with Hapoel Tel Aviv and can participate in games.
