Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian After Besieging Home in West Bank

Arab48
Translated & summarized from Arab48 by baba
The story · English

Israeli forces assassinated a Palestinian man on Tuesday morning after a hours-long siege of a house in the town of Aqrabah, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank. Special Israeli forces had raided the Diriyah area, southwest of the town, at dawn and surrounded a house. They demanded that one of the occupants surrender, threatening to blow up the house if he refused. Israeli forces imposed a military cordon around the house, accompanied by heavy gunfire and clashes in the area. The house was targeted with an Energa projectile. Military reinforcements, including armored vehicles and a bulldozer, were deployed to the town. The bulldozer subsequently began demolishing parts of the besieged house. Two explosions were heard, and gunfire continued. Military aircraft were also observed flying extensively over the area. Israeli forces closed the town's entrance for those leaving while keeping it open for those entering, rerouting traffic through the town of Huwara. After hours of siege and confrontations, Israeli forces withdrew from the vicinity of the house, having demolished parts of it and fired rockets towards it. They later announced the assassination of the Palestinian man they had demanded surrender.
