Hapoel Be'er Sheva Slams Referee Yigal Fried After Loss

Hapoel Be'er Sheva has expressed significant anger towards referee Yigal Fried and his officiating team following their recent match at Turner Stadium. Club officials stated that the referees "must understand they are not the show," criticizing Fried's decisions, particularly the second yellow card issued to midfielder Eliel Peretz, which led to his expulsion.

According to sources within the club, Peretz's second yellow card, which effectively ended the game for him, was unwarranted. "Even if he said a few words, one yellow was enough, why was the second necessary? It ended the game," a club representative commented. Peretz himself maintains that Fried did not stop play when Miguel Vitor sustained an injury, suggesting that such a stoppage would have occurred if Maccabi Tel Aviv had been involved. After receiving his first yellow card, Peretz reportedly questioned the referee's judgment, saying, "What are you giving a yellow for? You have no idea. You came to steal the show."
