IDF Prepares Rosh Hashanah Meals for Combat Troops

The IDF's Supply Directorate has completed preparations for Rosh Hashanah meals for soldiers, particularly those engaged in operational activity. The initiative, led by the Supply Directorate within the Technology and Logistics Directorate, ensures that combat forces, especially those operating in the field, receive holiday provisions adapted for battlefield conditions.

Approximately 10,000 special packages have been assembled for frontline units. These packages contain all necessary ingredients for a Rosh Hashanah meal, including individual honey portions, honey cakes, apple snacks, holiday symbol plates, and a booklet of blessings. The total provisions include 12 tons of pomegranates, an equal amount of apples, 9.6 tons of honey, 103 tons of fish, 15 tons of honey cakes, 271,000 desserts, and 93,000 bottles of grape juice.

Logistical support will continue for maneuvering forces throughout the holiday, with logistics personnel providing supplementary food items tailored to soldiers' needs and operational environments. The IDF has also ensured that food options cater to diverse dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian meals, to accommodate all soldiers during the holiday period.
