Netanya Coach Hopes Transfer Window Business Concludes Soon

Maccabi Netanya and Hapoel Haifa drew 1-1 on Monday, a result that did little to clarify their early season ambitions. Both teams were predicted to contend for a top playoff spot, but the draw leaves Netanya with two ties this season and Hapoel Haifa still seeking their first win, though they remain undefeated.

Maccabi Netanya coach Roni Levy acknowledged his team's sluggish first half, stating, "Our approach was lethargic in the first half, when we lost the ball we were less focused and organized. In the second half the approach was better. We made good changes that helped us." He added that while his team wanted to win at home against a strong opponent, they were able to come back after falling behind. "We could have decided it, but we could also have lost, it was a game between two equal rivals," Levy analyzed.

Levy also commented on the team's need for a decisive player, noting, "We are missing a player who will make the decisive move, maybe we need to be more intense, but last year's Netanya would have conceded another goal or two in this situation." He expressed satisfaction that the team withstood dangerous transitions.

Regarding the transfer window, Levy stated, "From our perspective, the strategy was to strengthen and we haven't yet managed to bring in the players we want. We have players lined up, I hope things will be finalized in the coming days." The coach expressed optimism that the team's transfer business would be concluded soon.
