Maccabi Netanya Coach Seeks Upgrades Amid Tough League Competition

Maccabi Netanya coach Roni Levi expressed his desire to sign new players who can elevate the team's performance ahead of their upcoming match against Hapoel Haifa. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Levi acknowledged Hapoel Haifa as a strong opponent, citing their recent successes in the Toto Cup and the league.

"We are facing Hapoel Haifa, who have proven in recent rounds what a strong team they are," Levi stated. "We treat them with great appreciation and respect. We played a great game against Beitar Jerusalem, and continuity is no less important. At home with our fans, we will try to continue the momentum and win."

Levi also addressed the team's need for reinforcements, emphasizing that while the current squad is good, the competitive nature of the league requires depth. "We need an upgrade because the league is difficult and competitive. We will need a wide squad. We are working hard to find players who will upgrade us, not just players who will be along for the ride," he explained.

Midfielder Nadav Nidam echoed the coach's sentiments, stressing the team's focus on taking things one game at a time. "We talked all week that we are only in the second round, and we are looking from game to game. That is our approach. Hapoel Haifa is truly an excellent team," Nidam said.

Nidam also highlighted the importance of home support, calling on fans to rally behind the team. "There is no doubt that the home crowd will give us a boost of another 10-15 percent, and that could tip the scales," he noted, urging supporters to back the team even during difficult moments.
