Sadigura Rebbe Leads First Selichot Prayers in Jerusalem

Hundreds of Sadigura Hasidim gathered in Jerusalem for the first Selichot (penitential prayers) service ahead of the High Holidays. The event took place at the Hasidic community's building in the city.

The Sadigura Rebbe delivered a sermon emphasizing the importance of spiritual devotion during the upcoming Days of Mercy, which precede the Jewish New Year and Day of Atonement. He urged the congregants to maintain the seriousness of this period throughout the year, quoting the verse, "I will dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life."

Following the Rebbe's address, Hasidim approached him to receive a blessing for the coming year, known as 'Bracha D'Shanim'. The atmosphere was described as one of spiritual awakening and elevation, with each Hasid receiving a personal blessing for a sweet and good year.

In accordance with the customs of the Rozhin dynasty, the Rebbe prayed in his adjacent room, separate from the main prayer hall. The article also briefly mentions a Selichot service at Modzitz, which included a sign indicating when to respond 'Amen'.
