Wounded Israeli Recounts Fierce Struggle With Samaria Terrorist

Vesty
Translated & summarized from Vesty by baba
The story · English

Natanel Jacobs, a 19-year-old Israeli man, has described his harrowing encounter with a Palestinian attacker during a stabbing incident on Monday, September 7th, in Samaria. Jacobs sustained serious injuries to his head, neck, and arm but managed to fight back against his assailant.

Speaking from Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, Jacobs recounted how the terrorist infiltrated the Maoz Yehuda farm near the village of Usarin and attacked him. "I fought with him, chased him with a stone, and then I saw I was covered in blood and had stab wounds in my head, neck, and arm," Jacobs said. He described grappling with the attacker, pushing him down, and attempting to strike him with a stone. During the struggle, the terrorist's knife broke, but he continued to attempt stabbings with the remaining blade. Jacobs then grabbed the attacker by the throat and began to choke him, but the assailant managed to break free and fled to his car.

Following the attack, emergency medical services arrived and provided initial treatment to Jacobs, who was conscious but in moderate to severe condition. His condition later stabilized. His parents stated that their son is now in good and stable condition, attributing his survival to his bravery and "miracles," and urged the Israeli military and government to take a strong stance against villages from which terrorists emerge, calling for the destruction of homes and confiscation of weapons.

Approximately an hour after the attack, soldiers from the 411th Artillery Battalion located the terrorist in the village of Qabalan in Samaria. When confronted, the suspect attempted to attack the soldiers with a knife, leading to his elimination by a company commander. Regional Council head Yossi Dagan condemned the incident as a severe terror attack and called for a complete lockdown of the area, a large-scale military operation, house searches, and the dismantling of terrorist infrastructure.
