Victim Recounts Fierce Struggle Against Attacker in Samaria
Natanel Yaakovs, who was injured in a terrorist attack in Samaria, described his close-quarters fight with the assailant from his hospital bed. Yaakovs recounted that the attacker waited for him and began stabbing him. Yaakovs fought back, punching and pushing the attacker, and they both fell to the ground. Even after being stabbed and falling, Yaakovs continued to struggle, attempting to hit the attacker with a stone.
According to Yaakovs, the knife broke during the struggle, but the attacker continued to try and stab him with the remaining blade. Yaakovs then managed to choke the assailant, who eventually broke free and fled towards his vehicle. Yaakovs' account details the intense moments of resistance he employed against the attacker.
Earlier reports indicated that Israeli forces neutralized the terrorist responsible for the attack in Samaria within an hour. Security forces also thwarted another serious attack in a new settlement in Samaria on September 4th.
