Generational Shift in Agudath Yisrael: Eichler Replaced as Knesset Representative

Agudath Yisrael, a key faction within the United Torah Judaism party, is undergoing a generational change as Rabbi Elyakim Stark is set to replace incumbent MK Yisrael Eichler as the movement's representative in the Knesset. The decision, made with the blessing of the Rebbe of Belz, follows similar recent changes within the Degel HaTorah faction, where Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev were removed from their positions.

While Eichler will step down from his parliamentary role, he will continue to lead the "Mechitzai Dat" movement, shaping its political direction and overseeing its operations at local and national levels. Rabbi Stark, who will assume Eichler's seat in the Knesset, will be integrated into the United Torah Judaism list for the upcoming 26th Knesset.
