Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon After Drone Incursions
In the early hours of Monday, September 7th, Hezbollah militants launched two attack drones towards Israeli soldiers operating near the Al-Tahir ridge in southern Lebanon's security zone. No Israeli soldiers were harmed in the incident. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted strikes against multiple Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon, including an arms depot. Additionally, the IDF attacked several Hezbollah operatives observed transporting weapons near Kfar Rouman. The military stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian risk before the strikes, employing precision munitions and aerial surveillance. The IDF is currently investigating reports that civilian casualties may have occurred as a result of these strikes. Following a separate drone launch on Sunday, the IDF also attacked targets in the Nabatieh area, reportedly eliminating several Hezbollah operatives.
