Sasa-Tech Factory Workers Secure Major Wage Increases and Benefits

Sasa-Tech, a cleaning and maintenance products factory located in Dalton Industrial Park near the Lebanese border, has finalized its first-ever collective labor agreement. The deal, which covers approximately 100 employees and is valid until 2028, was reached after lengthy negotiations conducted amidst ongoing security challenges in the north. The agreement includes cumulative wage increases of about 10% over the next three years, the establishment of a study fund, improved welfare budgets, comprehensive medical insurance for employees and their families, and various bonuses and gift vouchers for family events.

As a gesture of appreciation for their dedication during the recent conflict, the company's management awarded a "war bonus" totaling hundreds of thousands of shekels, amounting to over 5,000 shekels per employee. Additionally, a sum of 350,000 shekels, previously awarded to the General Workers' Union in a legal proceeding, will be fully distributed to the factory workers as a further bonus. Employees will also receive a monthly basket of company products valued at hundreds of shekels.

This agreement marks a significant step in labor relations at Sasa-Tech, a key employer in the Upper Galilee region and part of the Sheniv Group. Union leaders, including Yona Partok, Aviv Azuz, and Uri Beitan, expressed pride and satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting the trust, mutual respect, and cooperation that characterized the negotiations despite the complex security situation. They emphasized the agreement's role in ensuring stability, job security, and improved working conditions for the employees.
