Livestock Poisoning Incidents Near Palestinian Village Spark Security Concerns

The Binyamin Regional Council has reported a series of serious incidents involving the alleged poisoning of livestock and contamination of food and water sources near the Arab village of Al-Mu'ayir. Since June 2025, at least 11 incidents have been recorded along the Alon Road, affecting grazing animals.

The most recent incident occurred last week near the "Metzudat David" farm, where two dead goats were discovered. In total, dozens of farm animals, including cows and dogs, have been injured or killed. Attackers have reportedly used poisoned dates, bread, and other food items left on pastures, as well as adding substances to water troughs and reservoirs.

Investigators have found tracks leading to nearby Arab settlements. Yisrael Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council, warned against ignoring these events, calling for urgent action against perpetrators from Al-Mu'ayir. "If we remain silent while goats are poisoned, we will mourn when Israelis are poisoned. Do not say there were no warning signs," Gantz stated.

The incidents have raised security concerns, with authorities investigating the source of the poisonings and potential links to broader security threats.
