Israeli Police Investigate Deadly Poisoning Attack on West Bank Pasture

Israeli police have launched an investigation following a severe poisoning incident in the West Bank's Samaria region. According to reports, militants from the Palestinian village of Qusra infiltrated grazing lands at Givat Tal Talpiot and spread lethal poison concealed in food scraps used as bait for a flock of sheep. The first victims were the herd's guard dogs, which showed severe symptoms within minutes and died before receiving medical treatment.

Police and forensic teams, accompanied by IDF forces, arrived at the scene Sunday afternoon to collect evidence and conduct examinations. No arrests have been reported so far. This attack is part of a growing trend of poisoning terror incidents in Judea and Samaria, with at least seven similar attacks recorded this year. Last week, militants from the village of Al-Mughayir poisoned a sheep flock at Shiloh farm in the Binyamin region.

Residents of Givat Tal Talpiot condemned the security forces' perceived inaction, warning that the poisoning terror has become a preferred tactic by militants who operate under cover of darkness and face little consequence. Despite the attack, locals affirmed their commitment to strengthening their presence in the strategic Jabal Ein Ayneh area and vowed not to be deterred by such terror acts.
