Maccabi Tel Aviv Loan Out Forward Andrade to Greek Club Volos

Maccabi Tel Aviv is set to face Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Monday evening, with a significant squad change on the horizon. New signing James Tavernier has been registered and will be available for the match against the reigning champions. His inclusion means forward Kerwin Andrade will be leaving the club, likely on loan to Greek Super League side Volos.

According to Greek media reports, the loan agreement includes an option for Volos to purchase Andrade for €1.6 million. Maccabi Tel Aviv would retain 20% of any future sale. However, the move's realism is questioned, as Volos's transfer history on Transfermarkt shows they have never spent more than €600,000 on a player, typically acquiring them on loan or as free agents.

Andrade, who was acquired by Maccabi Tel Aviv for €1.8 million, had a disappointing previous season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 28 league appearances. This season, he has only played six minutes as a substitute in a European match against CSKA Sofia.

The 21-year-old player is under contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, which has advised him to seek a loan move to gain playing time and develop. Andrade had previously rejected offers from other European clubs, preferring a return to Brazil where he played for Fortaleza.
