Maccabi Tel Aviv Midfielder Loaned to Greek Club Volos with Purchase Option
Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Kervin Andrade is expected to join Greek Super League club Volos on loan, with the Israeli club potentially recouping some of their investment. The deal reportedly includes a purchase option for Volos set at 1.6 million euros, while Maccabi Tel Aviv would retain 20% of any future sale.
However, the move's financial viability is questionable, as Volos has historically not spent more than 600,000 euros on a single player, according to Transfermarkt. Their usual transfer strategy involves loans or free agent acquisitions.
Andrade, 21, was acquired by Maccabi Tel Aviv for 1.8 million euros but failed to impress last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 28 league appearances. This season, he has only played six minutes as a substitute in a European match against CSKA Sofia.
Maccabi Tel Aviv has informed Andrade that a loan move would be beneficial for his development and playing time. Despite this, Andrade has previously rejected offers from other European clubs, preferring a return to his native Brazil, where he played for Fortaleza.
