West Bank Farm Attack: IDF Hunts Knife-Wielding Assailant After Stabbing

An assailant armed with a knife attacked a farmer at a farm in the West Bank on Tuesday, stabbing him multiple times before fleeing the scene. The victim, a man in his 20s, managed to administer initial first aid to himself and drive back to his farm, where his partner provided further treatment and applied a tourniquet until emergency services arrived. The injured farmer sustained stab wounds to his hand, neck, and head. Paramedics and IDF medical personnel treated him and evacuated him to Beilinson Hospital, where his condition was described as moderate to severe.

The attacker arrived in a commercial vehicle, exited with a drawn knife, asked the farmer about his weapon, and then attacked him. The assailant escaped the scene in his vehicle. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) deployed numerous units, including the Duvdevan Unit, the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit, and combat intelligence soldiers, to search for the suspect. The IDF imposed a closure, or 'keter,' on nearby villages as the search continued.
