Samaria Regional Council Head Calls for Military Operation After Stabbing Attack

A terrorist stabbed a farmer on Thursday at the Ma'oz Yehuda farm near Otniel in the Samaria region. The assailant arrived in a commercial vehicle, exited with a drawn knife, asked the farmer about his weapon, and then attacked him. The victim received initial medical treatment at the scene and was evacuated to a hospital. The attacker fled the scene in his vehicle, and security forces launched a widespread manhunt.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan responded to the attack, demanding a significant expansion of military operations in the area. "A very severe attack. I expect a full closure of the area, a broad military operation, to go house to house and collect weapons, to crush the infrastructure of terror supporters," Dagan stated. He added, "I strengthen the hands of the IDF soldiers and command, and pray for the recovery of the wounded. I am in contact with security officials and receiving updates from the field. I demand to immediately close all routes in the area, capture the terrorist, and hold accountable anyone who assisted him."

Dagan concluded, "The settlement in Samaria and the entire people of Israel will not surrender to terror. We will continue to build, strengthen, hold onto the land, and build Samaria."
