IDF Strikes Hamas Infrastructure in Gaza AfterIED Detonation
An Israeli military engineering vehicle struck an explosive device planted by Hamas in the Gaza Strip's "Yellow Line" area on Sunday, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). No Israeli soldiers were harmed in the incident, which the IDF described as a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire agreement by Hamas.
In response, Israeli fighter jets conducted airstrikes early Monday morning targeting Hamas infrastructure in eastern Gaza City, near the Salah al-Din axis at the A-Sanfour junction. The previous night, the A-Zahra complex, a large commercial compound in Gaza, was attacked in the same area.
Palestinian reports indicated the strikes occurred around 1:30 AM. The IDF stated its actions were a direct response to the IED detonation.
