Five Injured in Major Collision on Northern Highway 99
A serious car crash involving two vehicles on Highway 99 near Snir in northern Israel on Sunday evening resulted in five injuries. A 10-year-old girl sustained critical injuries, primarily to her abdomen, and a 19-year-old man suffered moderate injuries to his face and pelvis. Three other individuals sustained minor injuries.
Magen David Adom (MDA) received the initial report of the accident at 8:12 PM. Paramedics provided immediate on-site medical treatment to all five victims.
The critically injured girl and the moderately injured young man were airlifted by MDA helicopters to Rambam Hospital in Haifa and Ziv Hospital in Safed, respectively. The three individuals with minor injuries were transported by intensive care and ambulance vehicles to the same hospitals for further medical attention.
Rescuers described the scene upon arrival as two vehicles with severe damage in the middle of the road. They quickly assessed the victims, noting the young girl was semi-conscious with a severe abdominal injury, prompting immediate treatment and rapid evacuation.
