Hili Trooper Joins Gadi Eisenkot's 'The Israelis' Party

Hili Trooper, head of the 'Zionist House' party, has agreed to join Gadi Eisenkot's 'The Israelis' party (formerly 'Yishai') for the upcoming general elections. Trooper will be placed in the sixth position on the party's Knesset list. Several other individuals, including Shira Shapira, Eliaf Peretz, and Shlomi Yahav, will also join the list as part of the agreement. The move aims to unite political forces seeking to form a "Zionist government" and strengthen Israeli societal cohesion.

Eisenkot stated that Trooper's and Zionist House's inclusion strengthens the list he is building, praising Trooper as a principled leader committed to responsibility, national unity, and public service. He added that his party will continue to unite forces to win the elections and form a broad, responsible, and unified government to restore public trust.

Trooper commented that the current period demands responsible decisions with Israel's interests paramount, noting that Zionist House is joining Eisenkot's path. He described leadership as personal example, responsibility, integrity, and humanity, qualities he believes distinguish Eisenkot. Trooper emphasized that his party is joining Eisenkot's path, which he believes is characterized by these traits.

In separate political developments, the 'People of Israel' party, led by reserve Brigadier General Ofir Winter, announced four new candidates for its Knesset list. These include a former IDF and police officer, a Druze community activist, a right-wing activist involved in advocating for northern residents, a lawyer and Nahariya municipal council member, and a media activist combating antisemitism. Winter stated the candidates were chosen for their security and social engagement, particularly since the October 7th events. The party intends to adopt a clear right-wing policy, including decisive military action and increased Haredi enlistment in the IDF.

Additionally, the final list for the 'Together' party was announced, with Naftali Bennett in the first position, followed by Yair Lapid, then Karen Turner and Merav Ben Ari.
