Trooper Weighs Alliance Options Before Knesset List Deadline

Hili Tropper, a member of the "Zionist House" party, is reportedly in discussions with both Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the "Yashar" party, and Naftali Bennett, head of the "Beiteinu" party, regarding potential electoral alliances ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections. Tropper has not yet decided whether to run independently or join forces with one of the other parties, along with his own party members.

According to reports from Kan Reshet Bet, Tropper intends to demand reserved spots for his "Zionist House" colleagues if an alliance is formed. This includes securing places for Yoaz Hendel, Shira Shapira, and Elissafer Peretz, who are part of the new party Tropper established.

The dilemma Tropper faces is complex. Eisenkot's party might offer realistic positions for all of Tropper's associates, but they are reportedly unwilling to allow the "Zionist House" party to join as an independent faction. Bennett, on the other hand, appears more amenable to an alliance that includes a separate faction structure. However, current polls suggest Bennett's party may not have enough realistic spots for all four of Tropper's associates.

Sources close to Tropper indicate that a final decision on whether to unite with another party or run independently will only be made at the last minute, coinciding with the deadline for submitting Knesset lists.
