Hili Tropper Sets Trial Period for New Political Party Ahead of Potential Alliance with Gadi Eizenkot
Before officially launching their new political party, Hili Tropper made clear during negotiations that the initiative is experimental, with a strict benchmark of securing five stable Knesset seats within one month. If this goal is not met, Tropper is considering joining forces with former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot. According to reports, Tropper envisions that if the new party fails, both he and Shira Shapira would likely be included on Eizenkot's list, while Yoaz Hendel's future in such an alliance remains uncertain. Tropper denied these reports, calling them baseless.
Despite the uncertainty, Tropper and Hendel officially launched their party at a press conference on Tuesday evening. Hendel emphasized the need for a new generation of leadership, describing it as a generation of fighters and responsible leaders. He stated, "This country is on our shoulders while others flee responsibility. We are responsible."
Tropper highlighted the desire for a fresh start, not as individuals but as a group, free from past animosities, ego battles, and divisions. He called for a new language, story, and leadership style characterized by decency, simplicity, and directness. The new list also includes Shira Shapira, mother of the late Enar Shapira, and Elisaf Peretz, son of Israel Prize laureate Miriam Peretz.
