Hili Trooper Launches Party Campaign, Demands Yoaz Hendel for National Security Minister

Hili Trooper officially launched the election campaign for his party, "Zionist Home - The Reservists," on August 5, 2026. Speaking at the event alongside Yoaz Hendel, Trooper declared that his party will demand the national security portfolio be assigned to Hendel in the next government formation. Trooper sharply criticized the current management of the ministry, accusing it of focusing on slogans, videos, and spin rather than real governance, and highlighted rising violence and public safety concerns.

Trooper took a direct jab at Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, saying, "It's time for someone who comes to work, not to pose for photos. It's time to care about personal security, not TikTok likes. Yoaz is the man for the job." He emphasized that his party represents reservists and appealed to various segments of Israeli society, including discharged soldiers and the religious Zionist community, calling them the party's core supporters.
