Yoaz Hendel and Hili Trooper Set to Announce New Political Party Amid Failed Negotiations

Political sources report that Yoaz Hendel and Hili Trooper are expected to announce the formation of a new political party as early as Tuesday. The new list may also include Shira Shapira and Elisaf Peretz, although Trooper's office has denied these reports. This alliance follows unsuccessful talks between Hendel, chairman of the "Reservists" party, and Benny Gantz, leader of Blue and White.

In recent weeks, Hendel has been negotiating simultaneously with Gantz and Dedi Simchi, as well as with Trooper. Both Hendel's Reservists party and Gantz's Blue and White currently fail to pass the electoral threshold according to the latest Kan News poll. The poll also examined a potential union between Gantz, Hendel, and Simchi, which would yield seven Knesset seats, but this would not decisively benefit either political bloc.

The new party formation appears to be a strategic move following the breakdown of previous coalition talks, aiming to consolidate support and improve electoral prospects ahead of upcoming elections.
