Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel Announce Joint Run in Upcoming Israeli Elections

Hili Tropper and the Reservists Party, led by Yoaz Hendel, announced on Tuesday their decision to run together in the upcoming Israeli elections. They described this move as the first step toward creating a significant new Zionist political force. Hendel's circle outlined the party's core principles, emphasizing a firm ideological stance on religion and state issues as well as security.

According to Hendel's associates, a key distinction between their party and others like Blue and White or Yesh Atid is their absolute refusal to join a coalition with ultra-Orthodox or Arab parties. Hendel is reportedly unwilling to compromise on this position, even if offered significant concessions or a draft law agreement. The party aims to lead a "state-right" line that resists political blackmail, as they define it.

Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot quickly endorsed the move, praising Tropper as a unifying and experienced leader who deserves a central role in Israel's recovery. Eizenkot expressed hope that the new Zionist state government would unite the nation and restore Israel to the right path, stressing that "Israel must win, and it will win."
