Former Ministers Hendel and Trooper Launch Zionist Home Party Campaign Ahead of Elections

Former ministers Yoaz Hendel and Hili Trooper officially launched their party campaign for "Zionist Home - The Reservists" on Wednesday evening. The two announced last month their joint leadership and unified list for the upcoming elections. Trooper described the party as a home for Israelis filled with pain and hope, aiming to work together for a better future, combat internal division, and fight rampant violence. Hendel, chairman of the Reservists party, emphasized that their group includes many people from diverse backgrounds united by their service to the country. He highlighted the importance of actions taken after October 7, contrasting those who merely spoke in the Knesset or media with those who volunteered and fought, including himself and Trooper, who supported rehabilitation and bereaved families.

Regarding potential coalition talks, Hendel firmly opposed forming a government with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or including non-Zionist parties. He stated that after the heavy toll of the recent war, Israel must establish a Zionist government led by those who have borne the burden of defending the country. Hendel declared his conviction that Netanyahu should step down and vowed never to support a 61-seat government with him. The campaign launch marks a significant step as the party seeks to elevate the voices of reservists and war veterans in the political arena.
