Rotem Sela Joins Board of 'Shavim' Organization for People with Disabilities

Israeli actress and presenter Rotem Sela has been appointed to the board of directors of the "Shavim" organization, which advocates for people with disabilities and their families. In her new volunteer role, Sela will work to advance the rights of individuals with disabilities and strengthen their presence in Israeli society.

Sela's decision to join "Shavim" was influenced by her experience hosting the "Special Interview" program on Keshet 12. During the show, she interviewed a group of individuals on the autism spectrum, engaging in open and direct conversations. These interactions fostered a connection for Sela to the importance of integrating and promoting people with disabilities within society.

"The work on 'Special Interview' showed me the power that is created when people are given a platform to speak in their own voices, without someone else speaking for them," Sela stated. "I am happy to join 'Shavim' and contribute my time, experience, and tools to expand the space, opportunities, and influence of people with disabilities in Israeli society."
