New Industrial Park Opens at Kibbutz Mefalsim at Full Capacity
A new industrial park at Kibbutz Mefalsim in the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council has officially opened, marking a significant step in the rehabilitation and development of the western Negev region. This project is the first privately developed industrial facility in the area to be fully completed since the events of October 7th. The park, a collaboration between Kibbutz Mefalsim and the "Shibolet" group, spans approximately 13,500 square meters.
Remarkably, the industrial park achieved 100% occupancy by companies and factories even before construction was fully finished. This full capacity is seen as a strong vote of confidence from Israeli industry in the economic future of the region.
Officials from the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council emphasized that true recovery involves not just rebuilding what was destroyed, but also creating new engines for growth, developing quality employment opportunities, and establishing robust economic anchors. They stated that these efforts demonstrate the western Negev's continued appeal as a central hub for investment and productive activity.
