Rebbetzin Chana Fromet Bloi died on Wednesday in her 90s, prompting mourning in the Chabad community and in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood. She was the wife of Rabbi Tuvia Bloi, the senior Chabad rabbi and the community rabbi in Neve Yaakov.
Bloi was born on 26 Adar 5696 to Rabbi Chaim Uri Rosenberg and Mrs. Sarah Rivkah. For decades, she supported her husband’s work in Torah education, Chassidic outreach, and broad public activity among Chabad followers and in the neighborhood where they lived.
Her funeral was scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., departing from the Shamgar funeral home in Jerusalem to Mount of Olives, where she will be buried in the Chabad section.
She is survived by a blessed generation of descendants, including her eldest son, Rabbi Yaakov Meir Bloi, an educator at Chabad’s Torah Emes Talmud Torah in Jerusalem and a lecturer at the 770 synagogue in Ramot Shlomo.
