Rabbanit Chana Fromet Blui, the wife of Rabbi Tuvia Blui, one of the senior rabbis in Chabad, died on Wednesday in her 90s. She was widely known and highly respected in Jerusalem’s religious and ultra-Orthodox communities.
Blui was born in Jerusalem in 1936 to Rabbi Chaim Uri Rosenberg. For decades, she stood alongside her husband, who serves as rabbi of the Chabad community in Neve Yaakov, and was known for her devotion to charity work, Torah activities and communal service.
She is survived by an extended family, including her eldest son, Rabbi Yaakov Meir Blui, a senior educator at the historic Chabad Talmud Torah "Torat Emet" and a well-known lecturer in the Ramot Shlomo neighborhood.
Her funeral procession left Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and continued to the Mount of Olives, where she was buried in the Chabad section.
