Israeli Hip Hop Pioneers Dag Nahash Celebrate 30 Years

Israeli hip hop group Dag Nahash marked three decades of activity with a special concert at the Caesarea Amphitheatre on Saturday night. The band, formed in Jerusalem in 1996, performed a wide selection of their hits spanning their entire career, to a crowd that sang along to nearly every word. The concert featured guest appearances by prominent Israeli artists Gidi Gov, Ninet Tayeb, and Raviv Plotnik.

Plotnik, who has become a leading figure in Israeli hip hop in recent years, acknowledged the band's influence on the genre, stating that "Israeli hip hop would not be what it is today without Dag Nahash." The band performed songs such as "Chutz Meze," "Ani Ma'amin," "Lo Payerim," "Halikut," "Menagina," "Lo Maspik," "California," "Shishi," "Ir Ha'Elohim," "Shemesh," "Shirat HaSticker," "Hakol Yistader," "Sa," "Shir Nechama," "Laluz," "Gabi VeDebi," "Legalize," "Hine Ani Ba," "Dag Life," "Ma Na'aseh," and "Zman Lehit'orer."

The performance included an instrumental opening, an acoustic set, and a finale featuring their biggest hits. The concert served as a capstone event for the band's 30th-anniversary celebrations, highlighting songs that have become integral to Israeli music and remain relevant today. The core members of Dag Nahash continue to create music and perform together.
