Hadag Nahash, one of Israel’s most influential and popular bands, announced on Sunday that it will mark 30 years together with a special concert at the Caesarea amphitheater on September 5. The sunset show will feature guest appearances by Gidi Gov, Ninet Tayeb and Raviv Plutnik.
The band was formed in Jerusalem and, over the past three decades, has maintained an unusually stable career with no breaks, reunions or comeback periods. It has released more than 200 songs and became known for hits including “Shirat HaSticker,” “Zman Lehitorer,” “Hine Ani Ba,” “Shir Nechama,” “Lo Parayrim,” “Lazuz,” “Ma Na’aseh” and “Hakol Yistader,” songs that became part of the soundtrack for generations of listeners.
In a statement, the members said, “According to the calendar, we are celebrating 30 years together, but how can it be that 30 years have passed? It feels like only a moment ago we were performing for eight people in Haifa and opening a karaoke night in Tiberias.” They added that they have grown up, married and started families, and now see themselves as “the Hadag Nahash tribe.”
The band said it is still excited to keep creating, calling the concert more than just an anniversary event. “We are more excited today than at the beginning to be together and write more songs we will love,” they said, promising “a crazy birthday party” and adding, “We have not reached the peak yet. Next stop, Caesarea.”
